Move on to the Heritage Park to see how the pioneers lived as they settled in Western Canada. You can opt for a steam train to take you around that has regular stops, if you do not want to walk. There is a typical prairie town along with an Indian encampment and a model trading post that displays original furnishings.
The first two weeks of July will find you enjoying the Calgary Stampede. Rides, exhibits, games, live entertainment and the famed Rodeo will keep you entertained. If you happen to be coming in the winter months, head to the Canada Olympic Park, where individuals and families can have a great time. Children can even learn to ski and snowboard here. From here move to see the many exhibits in the Calgary Science Center that covers general science, space and illusions.
