Albena is a holiday resort purpose-built in the 1960s situated in the North East of Bulgaria and set against the Black Sea.

Behind the beach much of the town is nestled amid the Baltata Natural Reserve and its rolling hills and dense and shady woods, ideal for those seeking respite from the sun. The nearest airport is Varna, just 30 km away. Transportation consists of a dedicated local rail network and cheap, numerous taxis. Generally traffic noise, and indeed noise in general, is very low.
