Tartu is a place you can head to if you want to get away from the crowd and experience Estonia. This area has a lot of open places and it offers some great hiking trails. Though comparatively a little rural, it has some outstanding buildings in the area. Head to the National Museum of Estonia and the Estonian Folk Museum to learn more about the culture of this land and see some interesting artefacts.
Hiiumaa Island is the second largest island in Estonia and is among the most interesting places to visit. It offers some pristine surroundings that are truly spectacular and offer a visual treat. There is also the Kopu Lighthouse, Kassari Church and the Sorumuseum that is worth a visit.
Saaremaa Island is the largest island in Estonia and is a very interesting place to visit. Make a trip to the Kuressaare Castle, which is among the best preserved medieval castles in the Baltic region. The Town Hall is also worth a visit for its massive ceiling paintings.
For those of you who enjoy outdoor activity, there are 4X4 off roading, quad biking, and go-karting, besides hard-core shooting available to make your trip as memorable as possible. Children will have a great time in the zoo that has over 5,000 animals ranging from polar bears to golden eagles. There is also a petting zoo that will keep the young ones fascinated.
