If you have a head for heights, a trip to see the Sanctuary of the Madonna della Corona, which is set in the rocky mountain face of the Monte Baldo is a must. If water sports give you a thrill, the Wassersportcenter at Gardasurf&Sail is a must do. Take in the Castle at Malcesine, which currently houses the Museum of National History. It is surrounded by a wonderful town developed around the narrow streets that lead from the lake to the castle. From here head to the Old Town to take in a little of the local culture and bask in the sun.
At the Lago de Ledro you can see how ancient inhabitants lived in stilt houses during the Bronze Age. There is also a museum that displays artefacts from the past periods that have been excavated from the bottom of the lake.
