Figueira is a small residential village close to the Parque da Floresta complex. It has a traditional rural Algarve atmosphere, which can be quite pleasant to some. There are a few small restaurants, bars and shops in the village.
The nearest beach is about twenty minutes walk away. Its not that well known and is only really used by the locals and those staying in the village. It is a quiet secluded beach with rocks and pebbles upon the sand although it will be easy to find a nice spot all to yourself.
