Caceres is a UNESCO declared World Heritage Site. A mixing pot of significant cultural influences: Roman, Islamic, Northern Gothic and Italian Renaissance architecture are still evident today.
Monfrague National Park is about 14 km away from the city located in Malpartida de Caceres. It has looming colossal granite boulders, white storks nesting amongst them. The largest colony of black vultures and a high concentration of imperial eagles live amongst kites and harriers.
