Catral is a small agricultural town in the countryside of the Costa Blanca region. The weather is mostly hot during the summer and has mild winters however rain is not uncommon. Unlike much of the region, Catral remains very Spanish, largely untouched by the British. The centre of Catral has several typical shops and restaurants to visit. Restaurants range from a variety of different nationalities including English, Indian, Chinese, Dutch, Hungarian and Cantonese so you should be able to find a place to eat that you will enjoy. English and Irish pubs are also common in the town.
While not having any real tourist attractions other than its tranquil landscapes, Catral does offer visitors a holiday in the relaxing countryside of eastern Spain. Catral is located close by to several similar villages and if you're looking for somewhere more livelier to visit during your stay then there are several towns and resorts with beaches within short driving distance but because of limited public transport, you will be expected to hire a car to go anywhere.
