A popular family resort of Gran Canaria, the pleasant Playa de Puerto Rico is known for its beautiful soft beaches and calm waters. Being in the south of the island, Playa de Puerto Rico is naturally sunny but it is perhaps one of the sunniest places of the whole island. Surrounding the beach lies an attractive holiday area with a promenade, several restaurants and numerous shops in which you can enjoy cooling down after spending hours on the beach. There is a yacht marina with several restaurants, cafes also jazz and piano bars. Fishing is quite popular here with deep-sea fishing boats and angling competitions. While other attractions of Puerto de Mogán include a yellow submarine taking tourists to discover the secret world beneath the waters off-shore and small sailing ships which can take you to Playa de Puerto Rico or Maspalomas.
