Güllük, a small harbour town within the Milas district of the Mugla Province, is a small but growing tourist destination with all tourist attractions still being developed.
The town centre, albeit typically Turkish has a complete range of restaurants along the sea front. For quite some time, Güllük has been a popular stop over for the Blue Cruise tours, but in time, you will be able to sail your own yacht into Güllük harbour as a yachting marina is in mid-development, but Güllük is also important for light freighters as well as coming second to Bodrum with the construction of gulet boats.
For day time fun, why not visit the harbour itself, and look for fish for your dinner, and then go to a fish restaurants and enjoy a delicious cup of Turkish Apple Tea, with a nice piece of locally caught fish. If horses catch your interest, why not book a couple of horses and go riding, take a picnic along and make it more romantic. Or if horses don't take your fancy and boats do, go rent a boat until after the sunset, enjoy each others company, watch the sun go down, and enjoy the company of the one you love, or if you're going solo, take a fishing rod, enjoy the fishing, catch you're own, it will feel better for you as it would be caught by you so you can enjoy it more.
Every Thursday, there is the main market day held in the village square, so why not go there and haggle the prices for everything such as fruit & vegetables, or spices, nuts and clothes.
Like clubs, why not rent a set and go play a few holes of golf, remember, it's always best played with a friend or family member, or whoever you're in Güllük with, but if you don't like Golf, why not get into a racket with Tennis, who knows, you could have 'game:love'.
