Hisarönü is a beautiful little tourist resort in the district of Fethiye in the Province of Mugla, situated to the west of the Mediterranean coast of Turkey and the southern extreme of the Aegean coast. In 1990, Hisarönü was just a very basic village compared to it's neightbouring town of Ovacik, however, in 1992, the road leading Hisarönü to Kayaköy was paved for the very first time.
Originally intended to provide accommodation for the nearby villages of Olu Deniz, Hisarönü has grown to become a holiday resort in it's own right thanks to it's friendly atmosphere, it is very famous to British holiday makers in particular.
Out of the many attractions there are available to take part in within Hisarönü, which is located between the beaches of Olu deniz and the harbours of Fethiye, there are many things to do, such as Paragliding, if it's your first time, it is definitely recommended, as the view will take your breath away.
Taking a daily boat trip and enjoyanywhere between a half day to a full day out to relax, swim or sunbathe, as well as take in the beautiful sights that await you around the 12 islands for around 10-15 lira per person, and they even put on a Barbeque, so food is included.
