There is also a Pirate Cruise where you can take part in an interactive treasure hunt. Before starting, get your face painted and dress up as a pirate to make it authentic. Once on board, you can hunt for sunken treasure and battle enemy pirates. It is a must-do for children and adults alike!
If that tires you, head to the Mosaic Saloon & Spa, often voted the best in New Jersey, to indulge in a world of relaxation as you choose from a wide range of massages from Swedish to Shiatsu.
Enjoy tubing, kayaking or a rafting trip on the Delaware River along with a free BBQ. This is among the most reasonably priced one-day outings in New Jersey. Things to do
Adventure Aquarium
The Adventure Aquarium in Camden offers visitors a chance to get close to a wide range of sea life. The aquarium includes a 40-foot long shark tunnel offering a chance to walk under the sharks and watch as they swim over and around the tunnel, there are over 800 animals and 20 sharks to see. The aquarium also offers touch tanks and other habitat inspired exhibits including the “Rain Forest Rendezvous” in which visitors can get close to birds, terrapins and a chinchilla. Other animals at the aquarium include stingrays, penguins, starfish and storks.
Medieval Times Dinner & Tournament
At Lyndhurst there is a Medieval Times castle which invites visitors from around the world to enjoy dinner with a show like no other. During the show guests will be seated in sections named for regions of medieval Spain and each region will have their own knight to cheer for. The show includes an authentic jousting competition and other forms of combat for the knights to compete in.
Palisades Interstate Park
Those who enjoy getting out and about will enjoy the New Jersey Palisades Park. The park has many things to enjoy including picnic areas, hiking and cycling trails, crab fishing and fishing along the Hudson River where permitted. The scenery in the park is stunning and is a must see whilst staying in New Jersey.
Steel Pier
Steel Pier is an amusement park in Atlantic City. The park offers a range of rides and attractions including “The Rocket”, a ride that zooms to 225 feet in under 2 seconds at over 100 miles per hour, riders will experience up to 5G of force during the ride. A range of amusement park regulars are available including a Ferris Wheel, bumper cars and Karts. Helicopter tours of the area are also available and offer amazing views of Atlantic City.
Atlantic City Miniature Golf
The Atlantic City Miniature Golf course is located between a range of Atlantic City’s great attractions and is in itself a great place to visit and have fun. The course is set in the Kennedy Plaza and includes water features and statues, which serve as a stunning backdrop to a fun and challenging course.
Six Flags Great Adventure & Wild Safari / Hurricane Harbour
The Six Flags Great Adventure is a park with record-breaking roller coasters including Kingda Ka, the world’s tallest roller coaster and also north Americas fastest. New coasters include the Green Lantern coaster, in this roller coaster riders are standing as the ride twists, turns and rolls. The park also has a safari, which is one of the largest drive-through safaris in the world and offers the chance to get close to Lions, Elephants, Bears and Rhinos.
The Six Flags Hurricane Harbour is a water park with its own range of thrilling rides and attractions including Jurahnimo Falls, a steep speed slide and the Tornado, a four seat raft ride down an over 130ft water funnel and dropping from over 7-stories, this promises to be a stunning ride to experience.
Wild West City
Take a trip back to the Old West in Wild West City. The amusement park has a recreation of an old-west town with over 20 live-action shows to enjoy throughout the day. The park also offers rides aboard a train, ponies and a stagecoach. The park also offers an opportunity to go panning for Gold in the same way they did in the old west.
